While Egypt is a perennial bucket-list destination for countless travelers, a new attraction is highlighting just why this location is a must-see for so many. Egypt’s new $1 billion Grand Egyptian Museum is attracting many new and return visitors to this fascinating, culturally rich region. Located near the Pyramids of Giza, GEM opened to the public this month and is already wowing travelers from around the world. This massive facility is home to many of the world’s most significant antiquities, including the complete collection of King Tutankhamun’s burial treasures (nearly 5,400 relics alone) and an awe-inspiring statue of Pharaoh Ramesses II (more than 37 feet tall). The museum houses a collection of Egyptian pieces that is estimated to encompass more than 100,000 artifacts, including at least 20,000 that have never been displayed before. Dating from approximately 3100 BC to 642 AD, the collection is the world’s largest dedicated to a single civilization.
Beyond Egypt’s rich history and ancient wonders, the country offers diverse natural landscapes and a vibrant, modern culture. Seeing the Pyramids and the Sphinx is like stepping into a movie set and cruising down the Nile River feels like transporting into the past. Add in delicious food, a welcoming culture and inviting year-round climate and you can see how Egypt is climbing to the top of may top travel lists!

Scouting the World for the Best Destinations for YOU!One of my favorite aspects of being a travel advisor is going on scouting trips. Called “fam trips” in the business, travel advisors often have the opportunity to visit a variety of locations to check out new hotels (familiarize), take excursions and soak up the culture in unfamiliar regions, building knowledge and learning the ins and outs of a location. These trips help me offer the best advice to my clients. It’s fun to learn so much, meet incredible local guides and get first-hand experience from the visitor perspective. I think it makes all the difference when I’m planning a special itinerary for you! Costa Rica was last month’s jaunt for me and Italy is up next in early 2026. Where are you ready to go? Let’s get together to discuss. As always, I wish you happy travels!
